This meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the strength of the partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly following the memorandum of understanding signed by the two ministers in December 2024 in Riyadh, on the sidelines of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum.
Held on the margins of the second International Forum for Digital Cooperation and the fifth General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization on February 4 and 5, the talks addressed ways to give new momentum to this agreement. The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation in the digital transformation of public administrations, through support for research and innovation, the adoption of advanced technologies, the exchange of best practices, and the development of specialized skills.
Both sides also reviewed prospects for the concrete implementation of this partnership, as well as mechanisms for coordination and technical cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions further covered the development of digital infrastructure and joint initiatives in support of a sustainable, inclusive digital transition that creates new opportunities.
