The Secretary General of the Constitutional Union Party Receives African Delegations at the Party’s Central Headquarters in Casablanca

The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the depth of the historical and human ties linking the Kingdom of Morocco to its African roots, within the framework of the enlightened royal vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, which has made Africa a strategic priority of the Kingdom’s foreign policy. This orientation is based on the principles of South-South cooperation, active solidarity, shared development, as well as respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

Discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination among democratic political forces across the continent, as well as on supporting initiatives aimed at consolidating democracy, stability and development, in line with the Moroccan approach oriented toward building balanced African partnerships founded on mutual trust and shared interests.

The Secretary General also stressed that the engagement of the Constitutional Union Party within this African alliance reflects its determination to contribute to a new continental political dynamic that promotes the values of freedom, good governance and economic integration, which are considered essential levers for achieving comprehensive African renewal.

The Constitutional Union Party also hosted a dinner in honor of the participating delegations, in a fraternal atmosphere reflecting the spirit of rapprochement and cooperation among the various African delegations present, and illustrating the depth of the African dimension of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The work of the General Assembly is continuing through the examination of the founding documents and the election of the governing bodies of the Alliance, with a view to launching a new phase of joint action among African democratic parties.
