In a statement, the ministry specified that this includes 95 newly built mosques, 42 reconstructed mosques, 8 historical mosques, and 11 restored mosques.
The total capacity of these mosques reaches 160,000 worshippers, with an overall cost of 647.3 million dirhams.
The Sovereign also granted his high approval for the opening of the Mohammed VI Mosque and its annexes in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena.
Amir Al-Mouminine further approved that the Great Mosque of Hay Salam in Agadir be named after him. This mosque has a capacity of 3,600 worshippers and was built with a budget of 62.5 million dirhams.
