10th Ramadan: Moroccans Gather at Mohammed V Mausoleum to Honor the Father of the Nation

In an atmosphere of solemnity and respect, officials and representatives of national institutions paid tribute to the late sovereign, whose historic role in the struggle for independence and the construction of the modern Moroccan state remains deeply rooted in the national consciousness.

Notable attendees included the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, along with several government ministers such as Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Abdelouafi Laftit. Other officials present included Zineb El Adaoui, Ahmed Toufiq, Abdellatif Ouahbi, Nizar Baraka, and Fouzi Lekjaa.

High-ranking security and military officials were also in attendance, including Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of the DGSN-DGST, General Mohamed Haramou, and General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone.

Several political party leaders, such as Abdelilah Benkirane, Driss Lachgar, and Mohamed Nabil Benabdallah, were also present.

This annual commemoration represents a key moment of national remembrance, highlighting the historic role of the late Mohammed V in consolidating the unity of the Kingdom and building Morocco’s modern institutions.
