Rabat: Installation of the Jury for the 23rd Edition of the National Press Grand Prize
The jury for the 23rd edition of the National Press Grand Prize for the year 2025 was officially installed on Tuesday in Rabat, during a meeting chaired by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid.


Chaired by Fatima Zahra Ouriaghli, the jury includes Mohammed Taoufik Ennassiri, Mouhsine Bountaj, Abdellatif Bensfia, Sanae Rahimi, Mohammed Zouak, Fatima Anejdam, Adil Alaoui, Mohamed Bourouis, Ahmed Arkam, and Youssef Belhaissi.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister Bensaid emphasized that the goal of the Prize is to motivate journalists and encourage creativity and excellence, while recognizing their central role in the development of Morocco’s national media landscape. He also announced that a total of 173 entries were received this year. The jury will review all submissions and select the winners, who will be announced during the official ceremony scheduled for next December.
For her part, Ms. Ouriaghli stated that this meeting marks an important step in supporting and advancing the national press, which plays a key role in information dissemination and in accompanying Morocco’s development.
In a statement to MAP, she noted that submissions increased by 30% compared to last year and by 70% compared to 2023, reflecting growing confidence in the Prize and its significance among journalists.
The National Press Grand Prize, organized annually to mark the National Information Day, covers several categories: television (investigation and documentary film), radio, print press, online press, news agency reporting, Amazigh journalism, and Hassani journalism.
It also includes awards for regional journalism, photography, investigative journalism, caricature, as well as an honorary award recognizing a Moroccan media figure who has contributed to the evolution of the national media landscape and to upholding the profession’s highest principles. Another honorary award is presented to journalists working in media outlets inside or outside Morocco.
