ONMT receives the “Partner Destination of the Year 2025” award in France
Morocco has been crowned “Partner Destination of the Year 2025” by the Syndicat des entreprises du tour operating (SETO), ahead of a major professional gathering for the tourism sector.

From March 25 to 27, 2025, the Kingdom will host the annual forum of the French Tour Operating Companies Association in Tetouan, a flagship event for the tourism industry in France, according to a statement from the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).
The Partner Destination of the Year 2025 award was presented in Paris to Achraf Fayda, Director General of the ONMT, by Patrice Caradec, President of SETO.
This distinction recognizes the exceptional quality of the partnership built between the ONMT and major French tour operators, as well as the sustained performance of the Moroccan destination in one of its most strategic markets.
As a leading professional organization, SETO represents the main tour operating players in France and serves as a key observatory of French travel trends.
“Through this award, the profession acknowledges a relationship built on trust, co-construction and a deep understanding of market expectations,” the statement underlines.
The work carried out by the ONMT with major French operators, combining commercial proximity, strategic support, air transport backing and the promotion of destinations, has strengthened Morocco’s attractiveness while consolidating the value of its tourism offering.
“This dynamic is reflected in solid results,” the ONMT adds, noting that in 2025 Morocco welcomed 5,763,404 French tourists, an increase of 11 percent, representing 29 percent of arrivals from France. According to the SETO barometer, the 2025 financial year, calculated on departures from November 1 to October 31, recorded an 8 percent rise in passenger numbers, alongside an average unit revenue of 1,019 euros, up 5 percent.
According to the statement, prospects confirm this trend, with winter bookings recorded as of November 30, 2025 showing an 11 percent increase in passenger numbers and an average unit revenue of 1,058 euros, up 4 percent.
Following this recognition, SETO has chosen Morocco to host its annual Forum, which will be held in Tetouan from March 25 to 27. Organized every year since 2009, the SETO Forum is the key annual meeting for the tourism profession in France. It allows members to share sales assessments, exchange views on French travel trends and work on joint projects, while bringing together all sector stakeholders around conferences, debates and expert-led discussions, in both a professional and friendly atmosphere.
Through this award and the hosting of the SETO Forum, the ONMT confirms its positioning as a benchmark partner in international tourism, capable of combining commercial performance, strategic vision and long-term partnerships.
