Rabat pulsed with national pride on Wednesday, October 22, as thousands of Moroccans flooded the capital’s main avenues to give a triumphant welcome to the Atlas Cubs, newly crowned U20 world champions. Aboard an open-top bus decked out in the Kingdom’s colors, Morocco’s young football prodigies paraded through the city amid thunderous applause and euphoric chants, celebrating a historic and unprecedented achievement in the nation’s sporting history.


Coached by Mohamed Ouahbi, the Atlas Cubs clinched the U20 World Cup with a brilliant 2-0 victory over Argentina. A sea of fans, waving the red flag with the green star, lined the streets to salute their heroes. The parade moved through Rabat’s main boulevards in a charged atmosphere filled with patriotic songs, cheers, and fireworks.
Among the standout stars of the tournament, Yassine Gessime, Othmane Maamma, and Yassir Zabiri waved and greeted the ecstatic crowd from the top of the bus, visibly moved by the overwhelming show of affection.
