The United States Consul General in Casablanca, Marissa Scott, highlighted this weekend a major initiative for Moroccan innovation and entrepreneurship. Speaking at the signing ceremony of an ambitious partnership between Renew Capital, an American investment fund active in Africa, and Technopark, a key player in innovation in Morocco, the American diplomat expressed her pride in seeing a U.S. company take an active role in the Kingdom’s technological development.

In her remarks, Marissa Scott emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership, which aims to support and integrate Moroccan startups into the rapidly expanding African ecosystem. She praised “an exemplary collaboration” that opens new prospects for growth, competitiveness and continental visibility for the Kingdom’s young innovative companies.
An American Company Leading by Example
Renew Capital, known for its commitment to African entrepreneurship, reaffirms through this initiative its pioneering role in supporting innovation in Morocco. “It is wonderful to see an American company showing the way,” said the Consul General, recalling that the United States remains a committed partner of Morocco in the fields of technology, investment and the creation of economic opportunities.
A Partnership in Line with Morocco’s Vision for Innovation
This collaboration is also part of the national momentum supporting startups in Morocco, which seeks to position itself as a regional technological hub. By joining forces, Renew Capital and Technopark aim to provide strategic guidance, funding and easier access to African networks, directly benefiting Moroccan entrepreneurs.
A Step Forward Toward an Integrated African Ecosystem
The partnership also contributes to strengthening economic exchanges between Morocco and the rest of the continent, in line with the African vision advocated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which places innovation and South-South cooperation at the heart of the Kingdom’s strategic priorities.
