Under High Instructions of His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid receives the members of the national football team, finalists of CAN Morocco 2025

On this occasion, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, the national team head coach, Mr. Walid Regragui, as well as the members of the national squad, were presented to His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid to pay their respects, before a commemorative photograph was taken.

This reception reflects the High Solicitude with which His Majesty the King, may God preserve Him, continually surrounds the youth, by supporting their fulfilment through sport, as well as the special attention He accords to this sector in general, and to football in particular.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, had addressed a message of congratulations to the members of the national team immediately after the final against the Senegalese selection. In this message, the Sovereign underlined that, through their remarkable journey at CAN Morocco 2025, the Lions of the Atlas demonstrated that “perseverance, seriousness and team spirit constitute the path to success,” adding that they offered the world an example of what Moroccan and African youth can achieve when they have confidence in their talents and abilities.

In the same message, His Majesty the King also stated: “You have also provided proof, through your composure and your heroic and honourable performance, of the importance of our strategic vision based on investment in human capital and on the modernisation of the Kingdom’s infrastructure, which has demonstrated its solidity and compliance with international standards, with a view to hosting the 2030 World Cup.”
