Morocco Shines in Paris as Samira Sitail Highlights the Irresistible Momentum of Moroccan Tourism
Morocco has once again confirmed its status as a leading international destination at the IFTM Top Resa 2025 trade show, inaugurated Tuesday in Paris. With a pavilion spanning more than 400 m² – the largest of the event – the Kingdom captured the attention of tourism professionals from across the globe.

Speaking exclusively to Le7tv, Her Excellency Samira Sitail, Ambassador of His Majesty the King to France, delivered a statement filled with pride and vision. “Morocco has become the number one destination in Africa, ahead of Egypt. The Kingdom is not only a tourist destination; it is a unique human, cultural, and economic experience rooted in both sustainability and modernity,” she declared, praising the collective efforts of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and the Regional Tourism Councils.

The 2025 edition of the trade show, widely regarded as a barometer of global industry trends, saw Morocco spotlight two exceptional destinations: Dakhla and Fès-Meknès, both now showcased as symbols of the country’s attractiveness. “Our Kingdom, guided by the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, stands out for the richness of its offerings and its unmatched hospitality,” Ambassador Sitail emphasized.
Figures highlight this upward momentum: 3.3 million visitors by the end of July 2025, representing a 15 percent increase compared with the previous year, and an air capacity exceeding 3.5 million seats from France for the summer season. Morocco is also now among the top five destinations most sold by French travel agencies, both online and in physical outlets.
This vitality is further reinforced by major partnerships. NG Travel is opening a Kappa Club in Ouarzazate. Thalasso n°1 is expanding its presence in Dakhla, Fès, and Tangier. Fram is rolling out a premium range, while Misterfly is preparing exclusive packages for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) 2025. These initiatives strengthen Morocco’s competitiveness and reflect the renewed confidence of leading French tour operators.
“The French market is a historic and strategic partner. With it, we are writing a new chapter: passing from strong to stronger,” the Ambassador concluded, voicing Morocco’s ambition as both a bold and forward-looking player on the global tourism stage.
In the heart of Paris, the Moroccan pavilion resonated as a celebration of success and a vision for the future of national tourism, reaffirming that Morocco is more than ever a trusted and promising destination for the world’s travel industry.
