Humanitarian Aid for Gaza, ‘Noble Royal Gesture Paving the Way’ – Andrew Murrison

London - The dispatch of additional humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, on Very High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is “a Royal gesture of great nobility and generosity that paves the way” to alleviate the suffering of the people of the Strip, Andrew Murrison, British MP and former Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, said on Wednesday.

“His Majesty the King is an inspired leader” whose actions bring hope to the region”, Murrison told MAP, stressing that the dispatch of additional aid to the people of Gaza comes at a difficult time that highlights the “uniqueness of the Royal Action and the credibility of the Sovereign’s commitment.”

In this context, the former British minister stressed, that HM the King’s benevolent action to accelerate humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza “will encourage other countries to follow suit.”

As a display of the constant support and tangible solidarity of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, towards the brotherly Palestinian people, the Sovereign has issued His Very High Instructions for the dispatch of additional humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates said in a statement that the Sovereign insisted that this humanitarian aid, like the previous ones, be transported by air and delivered urgently and directly to beneficiaries among the Palestinian brothers.
