Seminar in Paris of Morocco’s Consuls General in France
The Embassy of Morocco in Paris organized, on Friday, the annual seminar of the Kingdom’s consuls general in France.

Opening the seminar, the Ambassador of the Kingdom to France, Samira Sitail, stressed the importance of this conclave, which has become a tradition she is keen to uphold, as a forum to exchange views on the situation of members of the Moroccan community, their concerns, and the best ways to respond to their requests.
Migration cooperation, registrations, and the various outreach actions targeting the Moroccan diaspora are on the agenda of this two-day seminar, as well as mobilization around the Kingdom’s territorial integrity, which is “structuring our work and our action, whether at the embassy or at consular posts,” the diplomat listed.
Diplomatic and consular action must also be aligned with the new dynamic in relations between Morocco and France, she added.
In a statement to MAP, the Director of Consular and Social Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Fouad Kadmiri, said that this meeting has become “a tradition aimed at maintaining permanent and regular communication with our consular network in France, the largest that Morocco deploys abroad.”
This meeting, he explained, seeks to exchange views on the Kingdom’s consular action, respond to its developments, particularly in terms of the digitalization of procedures and their simplification, and strengthen communication within the consular network and with their French counterparts.
It is also a matter of reviewing the action plans of each consulate in order to respond in the most effective way to the requests of Moroccan nationals, Mr. Kadmiri added.
For his part, the Secretary General of the department of Moroccans Residing Abroad, Ismail Lamghari, indicated that the seminar aims to review all aspects of consular action, with a view to improving administrative and social services for the benefit of the Moroccan community.
Several consuls underlined the importance of this meeting as an opportunity to share experiences and exchange views on all the reforms launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to modernize consular services, the services provided, and the support actions offered to Moroccans residing in France.
