House of Councillors Signs Three Parliamentary Cooperation Agreements with Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini and the Comoros
Three memorandums of understanding were signed Friday in Laâyoune between the House of Councillors and the Chamber of Deputies of Equatorial Guinea, the Senate of the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Assembly of the Union of the Comoros, on the sidelines of the African Parliamentarians Network on Development Evaluation (APNODE) meetings.

The agreements were signed by the President of the House of Councillors, Mohamed Ould Errachid, respectively with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Salomon Nguema Owono, the President of the Senate of Eswatini, Lindiwe Dlamini, and the President of the Assembly of the Union of the Comoros, Abdou Moustadroine. The memorandums aim to strengthen parliamentary dialogue, consolidate relations between the institutions and boost legislative and technical cooperation.

They also seek to institutionalize parliamentary dialogue and the exchange of expertise, with the objective of strengthening bilateral relations and deepening ties of friendship between the Kingdom of Morocco and these countries.
These agreements are expected to give new momentum to parliamentary cooperation, whether in legislative or technical fields or through joint programs.

As part of the agreement, the parties will carry out joint initiatives designed to reinforce institutional relations and elevate them to the level of a multidimensional partnership that includes training programs, administrative exchanges, visits, workshops, forums, seminars and activities intended for parliamentarians and administrative staff.
They also commit, in accordance with the legal and administrative frameworks governing their institutions, to ensure the effective implementation of the cooperation activities through their permanent administrative and legislative structures, including friendship groups, committees, and regional, continental and international parliamentary unions.
