Renaissance Sportive de Berkane Ready to Fight for CAF Super Cup Glory
Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RSB) is fully prepared to take on Pyramids FC in the CAF Super Cup final this Saturday, October 18, at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo. Head coach Mouine Chaâbani expressed confidence in his squad, stressing that the team has the necessary experience to bring the trophy back to Morocco.

“Our team is missing a few players, but we have full confidence in everyone who is here. The whole squad is ready to deliver a great performance worthy of RSB,” said Chaâbani during the pre-match press conference held Friday night.
He acknowledged that the final “is not being played on neutral ground, but on Pyramids’ home turf, which gives them a slight advantage.” However, he emphasized that Berkane is ready to fight for the title and bring joy to its fans.
Recognizing the challenge ahead, the Tunisian coach pointed out that this clash features “two continental champions.” He described the CAF Super Cup as “a special competition that holds great importance for all participants.”
Chaâbani also praised Pyramids FC for their “remarkable journey and strong squad,” but reminded that “RSB’s African experience gives the team the composure needed to handle big occasions like this.”
Midfielder Yassine Labhiri echoed his coach’s confidence, saying the players are determined to make Morocco proud. “We are physically and mentally ready to make our supporters happy and bring the CAF Super Cup home,” he said. Labhiri added that while “Pyramids have improved a lot since our last meeting in 2020, we too have grown stronger and more experienced.”
On the Egyptian side, Pyramids FC coach Krunoslav Jurčić declared that his players are fully focused on winning the title. “We are the champions of Africa, champions of half the world, and our goal is to add another trophy to our collection,” he stated confidently.
The match will be officiated by a Sudanese refereeing team led by Mahmoud Ismaïl, assisted by compatriot Mohamed Abdallah and Kenyan official Gilbert Cheruiyot. Mauritania’s Abdelaziz Bouh will serve as the fourth official. The VAR system will be managed by Ghana’s Daniel Laryea, with South African Tom Abongile and Kenyan Stephen Onyango assisting.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. local time in Morocco (9:00 p.m. Cairo time).
