Les Petits As – Africa Playoffs Wilson 2025: A Spectacular Edition Praised by Morocco’s National Technical Director Khalid Afif

In an exclusive interview with Le7tv, the National Technical Director, Khalid Afif, reflected on the remarkable 2025 edition of Les Petits As – Africa Playoffs Wilson, an event held from November 10 to November 14, 2025 at the Moundir Academy in Casablanca.


For the second consecutive year, Morocco hosted this prestigious tournament, a true gateway connecting young African talents to the global junior elite. The 2025 edition gathered an exceptional lineup, bringing together 64 of the continent’s most promising players, 32 girls and 32 boys, who competed in a highly competitive yet friendly atmosphere with flawless organization.
A platform of excellence for the champions of tomorrow
In his interview, Khalid Afif praised the outstanding quality of the tournament and stated that this event confirms Morocco’s strategic role as a hub for tennis development in Africa. Thanks to the impressive level of competition, this edition helped reveal emerging players who, according to him, represent the future of African tennis.
After five days of intense matches, the four best players, two boys and two girls, secured their qualification for Les Petits As – Le Mondial Wilson 2026, one of the most respected junior tournaments in the world, which will take place in Tarbes, France. This achievement reflects the quality of preparation, technical support and organizational standards upheld in Morocco.
Morocco, a model in sports hosting and development
For Khalid Afif, this success is the result of a clear development strategy led by the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation. He highlighted the importance of improving infrastructure, training systems and competitive opportunities for young athletes. He also emphasized the key role played by Les Petits As, the Moundir Academy and all institutional and private partners supporting the event.
The impeccable organization, the warm hospitality shown to international teams and the high-standard playing conditions were unanimously praised by participants. According to the National Technical Director, Morocco continues to confirm its status as a leader of tennis development in Africa.
