Morocco’s Top Police Chief Reappointed as Member of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences’ Supreme Council
Rabat - General Director of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, is participating from November 2 to 4 in the 51st annual session of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.

Hammouchi also attended the official graduation ceremony for the 43rd cohort of the University’s higher education cycle. The institution is considered the scientific and educational arm of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, as stated in a statement from the DGSN-DGST cluster.
The General Director of National Security and Territorial Surveillance is taking part in these scientific and academic activities in his capacity as a member of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, which is the high decision-making body of this Arab university institution. The Council is responsible for defining the University’s general policy, overseeing its scientific, administrative, and financial affairs, and making decisions to optimally achieve its objectives in the fields of police training and security and technical sciences.
On this occasion, the General Director of National Security and Territorial Surveillance was reappointed as a member of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. This reappointment is intended to pursue efforts aimed at developing the University’s future vision regarding the modernization of academic police training curricula.
In the same context, the members of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, meeting during this session under the chairmanship of the Saudi Minister of Interior, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, examined the mechanisms for implementing the 2025-2029 strategic plan. This plan is based on diversifying educational programs and university research activities, in addition to developing academic police training.
The session was also an opportunity to review a series of achievements accomplished by the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences as part of its current strategic plan. Notably, these achievements include obtaining international accreditation for its training programs from ACCET (Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training) in the United States, valid until 2030.
The University also secured full accreditation for three of its academic programs from the French High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres). Similarly, its program dedicated to economic crimes has been recognized by several foreign research institutions, while the master’s program in cybercrime has been integrated into the Saudi national cybersecurity framework.
In parallel with these activities, the General Director of National Security and Territorial Surveillance participated in the annual graduation ceremony for the 43rd cohort of students who successfully completed their higher education studies at the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, across various police, legal, and technical disciplines.
This cohort includes 374 students this year, representing 11 Arab countries. The ceremony was presided over by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
