Morocco’s African Vision Highly Praised at Trouville Geopolitical Meetings – Ambassador Sitail
Trouville-Sur-Mer (France) - Morocco's vision and initiatives towards Africa are highly celebrated at the 10th Geopolitical Meetings in Trouville-Sur-Mer (northern France), said Friday Ambassador of HM the King in Paris Samira Sitail.

“The Kingdom’s work, its location on the continent and the concretization of South-South cooperation lend full credibility to its standing and action at the highest level towards Africa, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI,” Sitail said at the opening of the event, where Morocco is the guest of honor.
The Sovereign, she told MAP, has made some 50 visits to African countries in a short period of time, “marked by the signing of over 1,500 conventions and agreements that give concrete meaning to the Kingdom’s vision.”
For Sitail, honoring Morocco at a time when the Trouville geopolitical meetings are celebrating their tenth anniversary is in itself a celebration of Moroccan-French friendship, but also a contribution to bolstering bilateral relations, within the framework of a vision of territories beyond the actions carried out in the respective capitals.
This is the first time that a country, Morocco, has been placed at the heart of this event, which has become a must for researchers and enthusiasts of international issues, as well as for the general public, she added.
“The Kingdom’s strong presence this year can be explained in more ways than one: it is an African and Mediterranean country that is historically, culturally, and geographically close to France,” explained Frédéric Encel, founder of the Trouville Geopolitical Meetings.
Morocco, he said, “is a power of the future, not only in North Africa and West Africa, but certainly beyond.”
Launched in 2016 by geopolitical expert and essayist Frédéric Encel, this annual event aims to provide a space for citizens to exchange views and share ideas on major issues shaping today’s world.
