The Embassy of Morocco in Doha Formally Denies a “Fake Statement” Circulating on Social Media Calling for the Evacuation of Moroccan Residents in Qatar

Following the circulation on social media of an alleged statement attributed to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco to the State of Qatar, calling on Moroccan citizens residing in Doha to leave Qatari territory within 72 hours due to regional tensions, the Embassy wishes to provide the following clarifications: The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco to the State of Qatar formally denies the authenticity of this document. This message is entirely false and in no way originates from Moroccan diplomatic services.

The Embassy calls on members of the Moroccan community residing in Qatar to exercise vigilance regarding unverified information circulating on social media and to rely only on official communications issued by the competent authorities or through the Embassy’s institutional channels. No instruction has been issued requesting Moroccan citizens to leave the territory of the State of Qatar.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco reaffirms its commitment to informing the Moroccan community in a transparent and responsible manner when necessary and urges everyone to refrain from spreading rumors or erroneous information likely to create concern and confusion.
