France Welcomes the New UN Security Council Resolution on the Moroccan Sahara: A Clear Endorsement of the Kingdom’s Autonomy Plan
On Friday, October 31, 2025, France welcomed with satisfaction the adoption by the United Nations Security Council of the resolution renewing the mandate of MINURSO, which passed with a large majority of 11 votes in favor. This historic resolution once again enshrines Morocco’s Autonomy Plan as the only serious, credible, and realistic basis for reaching a definitive and lasting political solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
