Morocco’s Ambassador to Colombia Receives Highest Accolade from Press & Media Association
Bogotá - Morocco's ambassador to Colombia and Ecuador Farida Loudaya was awarded the “Medal of the Order of Pedro Nel Ospina Vásquez” on Friday in Bogota, the highest accolade of the Colombian Press and Media Association, the main media corporation in the South American country.

This distinction was awarded to Loudaya in recognition of her “contribution to strengthening mutual understanding and bridging Moroccan and Colombian peoples.”
The Moroccan diplomat received the prestigious medal from President of the Colombian Press and Media Association Alfonso Lopez Caballero, during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Historical Palace-Museum of the Colombian National Police, attended by several dignitaries from the Colombian political, institutional, media, and cultural realms.
During this formal ceremony, featuring the Moroccan national anthem performed by the Colombian National Police orchestra, Loudaya conveyed her deep gratitude to the organizers for the honor bestowed upon Morocco through this medal.
“This accolade is not only a personal tribute, but above all symbolizes the friendship and esteem for the Kingdom of Morocco, a country that I have represented with honor and pride for nearly nine years and which has maintained diplomatic relations with Colombia for over 45 years,” she said.
Morocco, Loudaya added, “believes deeply in diplomacy based on values, in cooperation as a driver of progress, and in friendship and respect as the foundations of ties between States.”
For his part, Executive President of the Colombian Press and Media Association Gustavo Casasbuenas praised “the remarkable work of the Moroccan ambassador in promoting bilateral relations,” while emphasizing that “Loudaya is the most decorated diplomat by this institution, an eloquent testimony to the ongoing and renewed recognition of the Colombian authorities of her work and commitment.”
