Rabat: Strategic Partnership Agreement Signed for the Launch of the “Gamification Lab” Program
The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), and CDG Invest signed on Thursday in Rabat a strategic partnership agreement for the launch of the “Gamification Lab” program, an initiative designed to support and promote Moroccan talent in the video game industry.

The program aims to establish a national platform dedicated to promoting and deploying gamification solutions developed by Moroccan start-ups for the benefit of public and private stakeholders. These solutions are intended to serve key sectors including education, health, culture, employment, and tourism.
“Gamification Lab” also seeks to generate qualified and sustainable employment, strengthen the ecosystem of Moroccan start-ups active in the video game industry, and encourage the use of gamification as an innovative tool contributing to the development of an inclusive and creative digital economy.
Speaking to MAP, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, stated that the agreement forms part of efforts to support small businesses operating in the cultural industry, particularly in the gaming sector.
He noted that significant progress has been made in this field and emphasized that the initiative will allow small companies to grow into medium and large enterprises. According to the minister, Morocco now has 40 gaming start-ups compared to only two or three in 2021.
For her part, Nissrine Souissi, Director of Gaming Industry Development and Information Systems at the Ministry, explained that the agreement, signed between the Minister and the Director General of CDG, aims to assist Moroccan start-ups specializing in video games in the development of solutions incorporating gamification mechanisms across several priority sectors.
She added that the agreement will reinforce national production through Gamification Lab, which is intended as a laboratory for testing and applying gaming techniques. The initiative will give start-ups the opportunity to commercialize their products with public and private entities in the Kingdom.
The implementation of the program will include identifying the needs of public and private operators, signing specific agreements with beneficiaries, and launching calls for expressions of interest to select and support Moroccan start-ups. The goal is to ensure sustainable support for national talent and strengthen the competitiveness of Morocco’s digital industry.
