Nezha Alaoui M’hammdi: Since Joining the OIF, Morocco Has Established Itself as a Pillar in Promoting Francophone Values
Since joining the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), Morocco has established itself as a pillar in promoting the values of the Francophonie, said the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Djibouti and Chair of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in Ethiopia, Nezha Alaoui M’hammdi, on Friday in Addis Ababa.

The Kingdom’s role within the OIF is reflected in its active participation in the organization’s activities, which demonstrates its strong commitment to cultural diversity, multilingualism, and international cooperation, noted the diplomat during a reception marking the opening of a new session of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in Ethiopia.
She also highlighted that Africa, with its cultural diversity and linguistic and ethnic mosaic, has made countless and invaluable contributions to the promotion of Francophonie, giving it a unique resonance through commendable initiatives in education, culture, and entrepreneurship.
The Ambassador further called for the continuation of collaborative efforts and the strengthening of ties among Francophone countries to jointly advance the aspirations of the Francophonie in facing the many challenges ahead.
For her part, the Permanent Representative of the OIF to the African Union and the Economic Commission for Africa, Nefertiti Mushiya Tshibanda, stated that Francophonie is a constant invitation to dialogue, exchange, and cooperation. She noted that through “our arts, our literature, our science, and our enterprises, we are writing together a shared story built on solidarity and multilateral cooperation.”
Francophonie, she added, “reminds us that pluralism is a strength and that our differences do not divide us, but rather enrich our understanding of the world.”
