Patrice Motsepe Promises an Exceptional AFCON in Morocco
As the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations approaches, the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, expressed full confidence in Morocco’s ability to deliver a historic edition of the continental tournament.
Referring to the preparations currently underway, the South African football leader stated that the next AFCON to be hosted by the Kingdom is set to become a benchmark, praising a country widely recognized for its hospitality, professionalism and expertise in organizing major sporting events.
According to Patrice Motsepe, the growth of African football is inseparable from the structural investments made by several countries, with particular mention of Morocco. He highlighted the combined efforts of public authorities and Moroccan society, which have led to the emergence of high-level infrastructure and the creation of an environment conducive to the success of an event of this scale.
