Morocco’s Flag Carrier Launches Direct Casablanca-Munich Route
Munich - Morocco's flag carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), inaugurated on Monday a new direct flight connecting Casablanca to Munich, marking a significant step in strengthening air connectivity between Morocco and Germany.

The inaugural flight, operated twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays), departed from Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport at 13:30 and landed at Munich International Airport at 18:00, one of the main hubs in Bavaria, Germany’s largest federal state.
A reception was held in the Munich airport boarding area, featuring the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, warmly received by the Moroccan and African communities in Germany, as well as tourists traveling to Morocco. Passengers boarding the inaugural flight shared a convivial moment and attended a cake-cutting ceremony alongside RAM teams in Germany, the Moroccan embassy representative in Berlin, and airport officials.
According to RAM, the new route serves as a strategic bridge between Morocco and Germany, aimed at boosting economic, cultural, and technological exchanges. It also responds to growing demand for connectivity between Morocco, Germany, and neighboring markets such as Austria and Switzerland.
With this new service, Munich becomes RAM’s second regular destination in Germany, after Frankfurt. The airline already operates a daily Casablanca–Frankfurt flight and seasonal services from Düsseldorf and Frankfurt to Nador and Oujda.
The new connection addresses the needs of tourists, the Moroccan and African diaspora, and business travelers, while promoting tourism by allowing German tour operators to market packages from Munich and Frankfurt. It also offers German passengers direct access to RAM’s African network, particularly West Africa.
