Service militaire 2026: Launch of the census operation (Statement by the Minister of the Interior)

As part of the implementation of the necessary measures for the incorporation of the next intake of conscripts for military service starting September 1, 2026, in execution of the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and glorify Him, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the Minister of the Interior announces to young people aged 19 to 25 as of next September 1 that the census operation for military service for the year 2026 was launched this Monday and will end on April 30, 2026.

Accordingly, and in compliance with the legal provisions relating to military service, the Central Commission for the Military Service Census, chaired by the President of a Chamber at the Court of Cassation, held a meeting on February 18 at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior to determine the criteria to be adopted for identifying the young people required to complete the census form in order to perform military service as part of the 2026 conscript intake, taking into account the principle of equality among citizens and ensuring balance between the different regions of the Kingdom, according to a statement by the Minister of the Interior.

In this context, the Minister of the Interior invites young people who will receive a notice, either personally or through a family member, to complete the census form online via the website dedicated to the military service census operation: www.tajnid.ma, starting Monday, March 2, 2026.

Young women and men who meet the required age conditions, who have not been summoned to complete the census form and who wish to perform military service, are called upon to fill out the form on the website www.tajnid.ma, from March 2 to April 30, he specified, adding that this operation is also open, in accordance with the law, to young Moroccans residing abroad who are registered in consular records and who wish to perform military service.

The Minister of the Interior announced that young people can obtain information about military service either from the local administrative authorities near their place of residence, from the guidance service set up at the headquarters of prefectures and provinces or district prefectures, or via the website www.tajnid.ma.
