Iran: Minister of Defense and Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Killed in American Strikes

Two sources close to Israeli military operations in Iran, as well as a regional source, told the Reuters news agency that Iran’s Minister of Defense, Azir Nassir Zadeh, and the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Mohammad Bakpour, were reportedly killed during airstrikes carried out by Israel.

This announcement comes amid extremely high tensions in the Middle East, where Iran has been targeted by a joint Israeli-American offensive against several strategic sites. The strikes, which hit military infrastructure and key centers of the Iranian regime, triggered a series of explosions in several cities, notably Tehran, Isfahan and Tabriz.

The information regarding the deaths of these senior officials has not yet been officially confirmed by Tehran. If verified, their deaths would represent a major strategic blow to the Iranian regime, which is already facing strong international and regional pressure.
