Bayt Mal Al-Qods Agency Implements the Second Phase of the “Warm Winter” Campaign for 120 Families in Southeast Jerusalem

The Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency implemented, on Wednesday, the second phase of the “Warm Winter” campaign in Jerusalem, benefiting 120 families across 12 village clusters located in the southeast of the Jerusalem governorate.

This phase of the campaign focused in particular on reinforcing the roofs of rural homes in elevated and exposed areas that are especially vulnerable to weather disturbances, as well as distributing blankets, mattresses, heaters, winter clothing and bedding.

On this occasion, the acting Director of General Affairs at the Jerusalem governorate, Ms. Inam Abu Zaiter, expressed her appreciation to the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency for this generous initiative aimed at equipping homes in the village clusters of southeast Jerusalem as part of the “Warm Winter” campaign.

Ms. Abu Zaiter specified that the campaign targeted 120 families across 12 clusters, including Al-Khalayel, which encompasses the residents of As-Sawahra Al-Fallahin in the desert area of As-Sawahra, as well as the Arab Bedouins of Al-Jahalin in the Al-Mintar cluster. She stressed that this project contributes to “strengthening the resilience of citizens on their land.”

For his part, the head of the Arab As-Sawahra cluster, Mr. Abdullah Al-Zahayka, expressed his deep gratitude to “His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Qods Committee, for the support provided to the cluster.” This support included the provision of mattresses, pillows, blankets, mats and tarpaulins to help families improve their living conditions during the harsh winter season.

Mr. Al-Zahayka also praised this renewed support, which will help “alleviate the suffering of needy families in the region.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Ziad Abu Zaiter, a resident of the Khalayel Al-Mintar cluster, highlighted the importance of these generous donations provided by the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency, which have helped “ease the hardships of 38 families, strengthen their resilience on their land and improve their living conditions.”

Finally, the representative of the Al-Mintar Bedouin cluster, Mr. Mohammed Al-Hathalin, commended the efforts made by the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency to “deliver aid to residents, support them and stand by their side.”

He affirmed that this assistance helps to “mitigate the suffering of families who are in urgent need, particularly in the context of severe cold.”
