AFCON 2025: CAF and Morocco Commit to Delivering the Highest Standards of Service and Support for Accredited Media

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the Moroccan Organizing Committee, has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering the highest standards of service and assistance to accredited media covering the Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025”.

In a statement published on its official website, CAF said it held a joint meeting with the local organizing committee to review the progress of several operational components related to media services. These include the latest updates on the Main Media Centre in Rabat, which will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and is set to serve as the central hub for all accredited journalists throughout the tournament.

According to the same source, the local organizing committee also presented an update on the electronic visa system via the “Yalla” application, highlighting reinforced measures aimed at giving priority to the processing of media professionals’ applications. In this regard, a dedicated assistance line has been set up to support accredited journalists in using the application.

CAF added that the local organizing committee has also made available a special WhatsApp line dedicated to media services, as well as a specific email address. The contact details for both the WhatsApp number and the email address will be communicated directly to accredited journalists.

The “Yalla” application serves as the official digital platform for managing essential services for supporters, officials and media, including visa applications, the supporter card, ticketing and access information.

This system is designed to allow journalists covering the competition to complete all mandatory digital procedures smoothly and well ahead of their travel dates.

CAF and the local organizing committee are therefore encouraging accredited media to make full use of the assistance lines provided and to begin visa procedures as early as possible in order to benefit from optimal support within the required timelines.

The same source noted that CAF has received more than 5,400 media accreditation requests from around the world, once again confirming the international dimension of the Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025” and the significant interest generated by its final phase. It was also specified that the Main Media Centre in Rabat will open on Wednesday, December 17, and will remain operational daily until midnight following the final scheduled for Sunday, January 18, offering working conditions that meet the highest international standards.

Finally, CAF and the local organizing committee will soon announce full details of the dedicated media transport plan, which will include free bus services for accredited journalists between the host cities.
