FIFA President Gianni Infantino Visits Grand Stade de Tanger
FIFA President Gianni Infantino paid a visit to the city of Tangier, accompanied by Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, to inspect the progress of works at the Grand Stade de Tanger, which are nearing completion in record time, in the presence of Younes Tazi, Wali of Tangier.
During the visit, project officials provided detailed explanations regarding the renovations carried out at the stadium, undertaken by Moroccan workers as well as national experts and companies.
This work drew the admiration of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who congratulated Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, for this football infrastructure that strengthens the Kingdom’s position on the international football scene, particularly through the hosting of major sporting events, including the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Portugal and Spain.
