Rabat: More than 230 Public Prosecution Spokespersons Begin Training to Strengthen Judicial Communication
The opening of the third training session for spokespersons of public prosecutions in courts across the Kingdom took place on Monday in Rabat. The program focuses on techniques for managing media relations and digital communication.

Jointly organized by the Presidency of the Public Prosecution and the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC) over five days, the training aims to provide participants with essential, modern skills and tools needed for effective institutional communication with media outlets and the wider digital public.
In an opening statement, the Prosecutor General of the King at the Court of Cassation and President of the Public Prosecution, Hicham Balaoui, emphasized that the purpose of these training sessions is to enable magistrates appointed as spokespersons to acquire key techniques and mechanisms for interacting with the media. He added that the program also intends to strengthen their ability to use digital communication tools to inform the public about cases and events of interest at both the national and local level.
He clarified that the appointment of spokespersons for public prosecutions falls within the implementation of the provisions of the new Code of Criminal Procedure, which will enter into force on December 8. The new legal framework requires each prosecution office to have its own designated spokesperson.
According to him, this training session is part of the strategic plan of the Presidency of the Public Prosecution aimed at strengthening communication between prosecution services and public opinion.
For his part, the Director of ISIC, Abdellatif Bensafia, stated that this new training program aligns with a strategic direction to equip prosecutors with the necessary tools for professional communication with both the media and the public.
Mr. Bensafia added that the training will help participants strengthen their skills in clarifying facts, sharing information and opening channels of dialogue with public opinion.
He noted that the Public Prosecution now holds a prominent place in the media landscape and that this development constitutes an important achievement, granting the institution a significant position in the field of communication and information.
The program includes modules on the role and responsibilities of spokespersons, journalistic writing, digital communication and media training.
The training is based on an interactive approach combining theoretical presentations, practical exercises and case studies. It also includes intensive hands-on sessions in ISIC radio and television studios to allow participants to simulate real media conditions and gain field experience.
