The second half brought more drama as Madagascar fought back with determination. Toky Niaina Rakotondraibe struck in the 68th minute to level the match once again, reviving hopes of a major upset. But Morocco’s resolve proved decisive. True to their reputation as relentless competitors, the Lions found the breakthrough in the 80th minute when Lamlioui scored his second of the night, a decisive goal that sealed Morocco’s victory.
In a charged atmosphere at Kasarani Stadium, Tarek Skitioui’s men showed remarkable mental strength, holding their lead until the final whistle. This triumph is more than a win: it marks Morocco’s third CHAN title, reaffirming the Kingdom’s dominance in African football and the depth of its homegrown talent.
