Ministry of Equipment and Water Pays Tribute to Intervention Teams Following Recent Severe Weather
The Ministry of Equipment and Water held, on Friday in Rabat, a ceremony honoring intervention teams mobilized on the ground during the severe weather that affected several regions of the Kingdom at the beginning of the year.

During the ceremony, held under the theme “recognition and celebration” in the presence of Minister of Equipment and Water Nizar Baraka, strong tribute was paid to the men and women among the ministry’s staff who were on the front lines throughout these exceptional climatic disruptions.
This event was organized in recognition of the work carried out by the ministry’s executives, employees, and technicians to address the effects of heavy rainfall, flooding, and snowfall that impacted several provinces earlier this year, Baraka told MAP.
“His Majesty King Mohammed VI gave his High Instructions to ensure full mobilization to protect citizens and their property,” he recalled, adding that the ministry’s teams worked tirelessly, day and night, to serve the population, protect lives, and manage water resources.
On this occasion, the minister announced the launch of reconstruction work on roads damaged by flooding, in line with the High Royal Instructions.
For his part, the provincial director of Equipment, Transport and Logistics in Kenitra, Mohamed Hafiane, said in a similar statement that this tribute is addressed to employees, executives, and technicians who contributed to operations carried out during the recent floods, particularly in the Gharb regions.
“It is a great honor for us and a strong motivation to continue and intensify the efforts deployed by the ministry, and to act in the interest of citizens,” he said, noting that ministry staff remain mobilized to carry out their missions and support authorities under all circumstances.
During the ceremony, which featured the screening of an institutional film retracing the commitment of the ministry’s teams in the face of these extreme weather events, Baraka presented certificates of merit to those honored.
