China Praises the Visionary Leadership of HM King Mohammed VI and Royal Initiatives for Africa’s Inclusive Development
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has praised Morocco’s stability, attributing it to the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the development projects initiated under the Sovereign’s guidance.

During talks held Friday in Beijing with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, Wang Yi also expressed his country’s appreciation for the Royal Initiatives aimed at advancing Africa’s emancipation and inclusive growth.
This stance, observers note, reflects a strong acknowledgment by a global power of Morocco’s importance as a stable and secure partner in a regional environment marked by numerous security and development challenges. It also underscores Beijing’s recognition of the Kingdom’s commitment to Africa through a proactive, citizen-centered, and solidarity-driven South-South cooperation policy.
For his part, Minister Bourita reiterated Morocco’s support for initiatives launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping, namely the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, as well as the recently announced Global Governance Initiative, presented during the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1, 2025.
Bourita also announced Morocco’s decision to join the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed), an institution launched at China’s initiative and headquartered in Hong Kong, highlighting the Kingdom’s confidence in the scope and relevance of such global initiatives.
