25th ISJC Graduation Ceremony: The “Prof. Mohammed Idrissi Machichi Alami” Class Honored

The Higher Institute of Journalism and Communication (ISJC) in Casablanca marked a milestone in its academic history on Saturday, January 24, 2026, with the 25th graduation ceremony for its female and male graduates of the 2024/2025 academic year. Held at the Anfa Cultural Complex, the symbolic ceremony celebrated a quarter-century of commitment to training responsible journalists and communication professionals grounded in ethics, rigor and professionalism.

Under the leadership of Mr. Ahmed Talal, ISJC once again demonstrated its ability to balance fidelity to its founding legacy with openness to major contemporary challenges. This edition was distinguished by the prestigious presence of Professor Mohammed Idrissi Machichi Alami as guest of honor, who kindly lent his name to the Class of 2026, a strong gesture of recognition and intergenerational transmission.

A former Minister of Justice and former Director of the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC) in Rabat, Professor Machichi Alami embodies a leading figure in national legal and academic thought. A close friend of the late Dr. M’hamed Talal, founder of ISJC and a founding father of modern journalism in Morocco, his presence carried deep symbolic meaning, recalling the continuity of a vision rooted in knowledge, dignity and service to the public interest.

On this occasion, Professor Machichi Alami delivered a widely noted inaugural lecture entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Its Legal and Social Complexity.” The high-level presentation offered graduates and attendees a profound reflection on the ethical, legal and societal challenges raised by artificial intelligence, particularly in the fields of information and communication.

The ceremony was attended by numerous figures from the political, diplomatic, media and sports spheres. Among them were the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Morocco, Ms. Nabila Mounib, as well as iconic figures of national sport, including former Moroccan international Ahmed Makrouh, known as “Baba,” one of the heroes of the Lions of the Atlas’ historic triumph at the 1976 Africa Cup of Nations.

Several honorary awards and distinctions were presented during the ceremony, recognizing outstanding careers and remarkable commitments in service of the profession, before the official presentation of diplomas to the graduates of this 25th class.

Through this anniversary ceremony, ISJC reaffirms its central role in training the Kingdom’s media elites, remaining faithful to the legacy of its founder, the late Dr. M’hamed Talal, while resolutely looking toward the future. It is an institution that continues to shape professionals who are aware of their responsibilities, capable of understanding the complexity of the world, and committed to serving the truth with intelligence, ethics and humanity.
