Higher Education: Government Council approves draft law relating to the ANEAQ
The Government Council approved, on Thursday, draft law No. 68.25 amending and supplementing Law No. 80.12 relating to the National Agency for Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education and Scientific Research (ANEAQ), presented by the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.

This text falls within the framework of upgrading the legal and institutional system governing the evaluation of the components of higher education and scientific research, with a view to improving their quality and ensuring their convergence with the best practices recognized at the international level, said the Delegate Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson Mustapha Baitas, during a press briefing following the Government Council.
The draft law thus provides for the clarification of the missions entrusted to the Agency, as well as the clarification of its relations with the other institutional actors involved in the field of evaluation of higher education and scientific research, Baitas added.
It also introduces new prerogatives relating to evaluation operations carried out by the Agency, in addition to the change of its designation, which becomes the “Moroccan Agency for Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education and Scientific Research,” he continued.
