The 2026 World Cup Trophy Makes a Stop in Morocco
The sixth FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola made a stop in Morocco on Wednesday.

The tour offers thousands of fans around the world the opportunity to see the original World Cup trophy up close, ahead of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Launched on January 3, 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the tour of the original World Cup trophy will visit 30 FIFA member associations, with 75 stops over more than 150 days, offering football fans worldwide a unique opportunity to admire the most coveted trophy in global football.
During a conference held in Salé to present the Moroccan leg of the tour, the General Manager of The Coca-Cola Company for Morocco and Mauritania, Charbel El Beirouthy, said he was honored to be in Morocco, particularly at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, which he described as “a concrete embodiment of the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, placing training and world-class infrastructure at the heart of the development of Moroccan and African football”.
He also stressed that the 2026 World Cup will take place in a context marked by the remarkable achievements of Moroccan football.
“In 2022, Morocco became the first Arab and African national team to reach the semi-finals. In 2026, the Lions of the Atlas are among the Top 8 national teams in the world, and in 2030, the World Cup will be held in the Kingdom,” he said with satisfaction.
For his part, 1998 World Cup champion with France, Marcel Desailly, noted that the World Cup Trophy Tour represents a symbolic journey connecting fans to the magic of sport.
“We are in Morocco, a football-loving country, to celebrate the passion, pride and unity that make football the most popular sport in the world,” said the former Chelsea player.
On this occasion, Marcel Desailly highlighted the world-class infrastructure available in the Kingdom, affirming that the organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations was “a great success”.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola includes, in particular, the three host countries of the 2026 World Cup (the United States, Canada and Mexico), as well as the future host countries of the FIFA World Cups in 2030 and 2034 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, namely Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
At each stop, local communities will benefit from unique engagement opportunities, ranging from immersive brand experiences and interactive football challenges to exclusive content featuring FIFA legends.
