AFCON 2025: Senegal praises the Moroccan welcome and the role of Fouzi Lekjaa

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) expressed its deep gratitude to the Moroccan sports authorities for the exemplary welcome given to its delegation during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with special mention of the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa.

In an official letter addressed to the FRMF, the President of the FSF, Abdoulaye Fall, highlighted the quality of the organisation, the attention to detail and the constant care received by the Senegalese delegation, led by the President of the National Assembly of Senegal, on the occasion of the Senegal–Mali match played in Tangier.

The Senegalese official underlined the warm atmosphere and friendliness that surrounded this stay, considering that these conditions reflect not only the professionalism of the Moroccan bodies, but also the strength of the historical and fraternal ties linking Senegal and Morocco, beyond the strictly sporting framework.

The FSF also used this message to extend its congratulations to the Moroccan national team for its qualification for the semi-finals of the AFCON, praising the quality of the football displayed and the consistency of the Lions of the Atlas since the start of the competition.

Finally, the Senegalese Federation expressed its wishes for full success for Morocco for the rest of the tournament, while reaffirming its desire to strengthen relations of cooperation and exchange between the two federations, in a spirit of lasting partnership, mutual respect and African fraternity.
