Prince Reza Pahlavi Says He Is Ready to Govern Iran After the Imminent Fall of the Islamic Republic

Prince Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last Shah, stated on Saturday that he is ready to take power in the country “as soon as the Islamic Republic falls.” In a message published on social media, the opponent of the Iranian regime said he is working on establishing a transition system intended to govern Iran after the fall of the current authorities.

Living in the United States for many years, Prince Reza Pahlavi said he has already identified several individuals who could take part in this future political structure. According to him, “competent” figures both inside the country and abroad have been selected to lead the various components of a transitional government.

“Competent individuals, both inside and outside the country, have been identified and evaluated to lead the different components of the transitional system,” he wrote in a message published in Persian and English.

Reza Pahlavi said this political structure would be ready to assume control of the country immediately after the fall of the current regime. “The transitional system, under my leadership, will be ready to assume governance of the country as soon as the Islamic Republic falls,” he said, adding that his priority would be to quickly restore order and security.

The Iranian opponent also pledged to establish “freedom” and create the conditions necessary for the country’s prosperity and development.

These statements come as the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran has entered its third week, increasing tensions within the Iranian regime and reviving speculation about the country’s political future.
