Abdellatif Hammouchi on a Working Visit to the United Arab Emirates
Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, began a working visit to the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, September 23. He is accompanied by a high-level security delegation, as part of ongoing efforts to consolidate security partnerships and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various policing and security fields.


According to a statement from the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), the visit included a meeting with Talal Rashid Al Zaabi, Director of the Emirati State Security Service, along with senior Emirati security officials. The discussions focused on bilateral consultations over issues of mutual concern.
Talks also addressed the international and regional security challenges and threats, particularly the risks posed by terrorism and extremism in conflict zones worldwide, with a focus on the Sahel region in Africa.
The meeting provided an opportunity to examine ways to bolster operational cooperation between Morocco and the UAE in combating terrorism and transnational organized crime. Discussions highlighted the importance of activating and energizing mechanisms for joint security operations, which have proven effective in the realm of international cooperation.
In addition, the session served to intensify and diversify forms and levels of bilateral collaboration. This includes exchanging expertise and best practices across all security domains, strengthening coordination, and improving the flow of intelligence, in order to ensure a firm and proactive response to hostile acts that threaten the security of both nations.
