Weather alert: Heavy rain, snowfall and strong wind gusts from Monday to Thursday in several provinces
Heavy rain sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, snowfall, cold weather and strong wind gusts are expected from Monday to Thursday in several provinces of the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Meteorology announced.

Thus, heavy rain sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms (35 to 55 mm) is expected from Monday at 12:00 to Tuesday at 03:00 in the provinces of Azilal, Khenifra, Beni Mellal and Al Haouz, the DGM indicated in an orange level alert bulletin.
The same phenomenon, with rainfall totals ranging between 25 and 35 mm, will affect during the same period the provinces of Tiznit, Oujda Angad, Youssoufia, Al Hoceima, Nador, Driouch, Berkane, Safi, Essaouira, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Chichaoua, Khouribga, Khemisset, Fquih Ben Salah, El Hajeb, Sefrou, Taza, Guelmim, Sidi Ifni and Taroudant.
In addition, snowfall of 20 to 50 cm above 1,200 meters will be recorded from Monday at 12:00 to Tuesday at 23:00 in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Khenifra, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Taroudant, Ouarzazate, Midelt, Azilal and Beni Mellal, while snow accumulations ranging between 5 and 15 cm above 900 meters are expected from Tuesday at 06:00 to Wednesday at 09:00 in the provinces of Taza, Chichaoua, Figuig, Driouch, Jerada, Taourirt, Sefrou, Al Hoceima and Guercif.
Moreover, cold to locally very cold weather, between -10 and -4 degrees Celsius, is expected from Tuesday to Thursday in the provinces of Tinghir, Al Haouz, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Ifrane, Midelt and Boulemane, the alert bulletin specifies, adding that the same cold weather, with temperatures between -4 and 0 degrees Celsius, will affect during the same period the provinces of Jerada, Taourirt, Khenifra, Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Taza, Chefchaouen, Figuig, Chichaoua, Taroudant and Ouarzazate.
Finally, strong wind gusts ranging from 75 to 85 km per hour are expected from Tuesday at 06:00 to Wednesday at 09:00 in the provinces of Boulemane, Midelt, Nador, Jerada, Figuig, Driouch, Al Haouz, Tiznit, Tinghir, Taroudant, Sidi Ifni, Ouarzazate and Guelmim.
