FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile: ‘Atlas Cubs Aim to Reach Final & Win the Title’ – Head Coach

Valparaiso (Chile), - The head coach of Morocco’s U-20 national football team, Mohamed Ouahbi, stated on Friday evening in Valparaiso that his players’ ambition is to reach the final and win the title at the U-20 World Cup.

Speaking to the press during a training session ahead of the match against Mexico, scheduled for Saturday at 9:00 PM (GMT+1), Ouahbi said that Morocco will approach this game “the same way as the first two, against Spain and Brazil, and will do everything possible to secure the win.”

He added that the players selected for the match will be ready to meet this objective, noting that while there will be some changes to the lineup, the team’s mentality, ambition, and core game plan will remain the same.

He also emphasized the importance of giving other players the chance to demonstrate their abilities and their determination to defend the national colors, asserting that wearing the national jersey is always an honor for all players.

Despite an impressive qualification to the second round thanks to two victories over Spain and Brazil, Ouahbi stressed that the team remains focused and determined to avoid any complacency, highlighting the players’ sense of responsibility and competitiveness.

Morocco currently leads Group C with 6 points, followed by Mexico (2nd with 2 points). Spain and Brazil trail behind with 1 point each.
