1st edition of the “Video Game Incubator” program: Certificates awarded to several startups in Rabat
The first edition of the “Video Game Incubator” program concluded on Tuesday in Rabat with the awarding of certificates to several beneficiary startups, as part of efforts to support and promote the video game industry in Morocco.

Launched by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in partnership with the Embassy of France in Morocco, the French Institute in Morocco and Level Link Partners (LLP), the program aims to support nine startups in the video game sector. These startups benefited from comprehensive training designed to develop their entrepreneurial and technical skills in response to the challenges of the gaming industry, as well as personalized mentoring provided by experts in the field.
The program included a total of 247 hours of collective activities, divided between theoretical and practical courses and specialized seminars, in addition to 43 hours of individual sessions for each project. The objective was to enable participants to strengthen their technical and creative capacities.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, stressed that Morocco aspires to develop strong cultural and creative industries capable of exporting Moroccan imagination and creativity worldwide, noting that this ambition is beginning to bear fruit, as reflected in the figures and results achieved.
These industries, particularly gaming, he added, remind us that imagination and creativity, as human characteristics, will undoubtedly shape the future of the global economy.
He further noted that the program demonstrates how multifaceted partnerships between civil society, the private sector and institutions represent the key to the emergence of a culture and knowledge-based economy founded on agility, creativity and the hybridization of ideas and imaginaries.
For his part, the Ambassador of France to Morocco, Christophe Lecourtier, expressed his satisfaction at seeing jointly developed ideas and projects materialize on the ground, stating that the first edition of the program clearly reflects the shared vision of Moroccan-French cooperation.
The objective of this program, he continued, is to contribute to the emergence of an integrated economic sector capable of creating job opportunities and attracting investment.
He also praised the creativity of Moroccan youth, the quality of the training system and Morocco’s attractiveness as a Euro-African hub, considering these elements as strong guarantees of the success of this initiative.
The “Video Game Incubator” program aims to support the development of Moroccan startups’ skills in the video game industry in line with international standards, while strengthening cooperation between the various actors in the video game sector at both national and international levels.
It also seeks to support Moroccan entrepreneurs in structuring, developing and ensuring the sustainability of their businesses.
