French Sport Website Calls Morocco ‘Stronghold of World Football’

Paris - Morocco, which will be in the spotlight for the next five years between the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, is “a stronghold of world football,” writes the specialist website “RMC sport.”

Morocco, the same source adds, “is now positioning itself at the crossroads of the next major events in the football world,” noting that the Kingdom’s influence in world football “displays a real change in the management of the discipline locally.”

With five years to go before the World Cup, the website notes that sports and non-sports facilities are progressing well. “Some have even already been inaugurated and they will all meet FIFA standards for the biggest football event on the planet.”

Echoing the inauguration last July of the FIFA office “at the heart of the prestigious Mohammed VI Football Complex,” RMC Sport reports that “this African football hub will serve to bring FIFA teams and the organizing teams of the 2030 World Cup closer together.”

The website adds that Morocco is “an important stronghold for FIFA decision-makers.”
