Morocco’s Strategic Position as a Technological Hub Highlighted at Global Forum in Salé

Gathered for the DXC Europe Alliances Engagement Forum, European and international business executives, along with institutional representatives, examined Morocco’s strengths in digital investment and talent competitiveness.

Speaking on this occasion, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, stated that this gathering, which brings together more than 80 high-level figures in technology and artificial intelligence, represents a valuable opportunity to promote Morocco as a destination for strategic sectors that are vital to the national economy.

Mr. Sekkouri expressed confidence that this forum will pave the way for constructive dialogue and concrete actions that will support job creation, particularly in the digital sector. He recalled that Morocco’s employment policy encourages broader skill diversification and noted that the Digital Morocco 2030 strategy includes training programs for more than 100,000 individuals in fields related to the digital sector.

According to the minister, this event aims to channel the attention of technological actors toward Morocco’s digital potential and the competitiveness of its talent, while promoting advanced training in key technological domains. He added, “Our youth excel when they receive advanced training in digital fields” and called for broader access to digital learning platforms.

For his part, the Director General of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), Khalid Safir, stressed that hosting the DXC Europe Alliances Engagement Forum clearly reflects Morocco’s growing place in the global digital ecosystem and confirms its position as a key partner in technological transformation.

Mr. Safir noted that Morocco now offers a fully integrated digital value chain aligned with international standards of performance and quality. He explained that this progress is the result of a clear vision supported by a strong institutional framework, continuous investment and sustained efforts to develop talent, modernize infrastructure and adapt legislative frameworks to the needs of the digital economy.

Morocco, he added, is moving forward with ambition, supported by world-class infrastructure, a stable environment and a promising pool of skilled professionals.

Mr. Safir also highlighted the role of DXC Morocco as a model of technological excellence, combining innovation, security and digital sovereignty. With more than 1,500 professionals covering the full IT value chain and providing services for European and international markets, DXC Morocco Global Solutions Center, along with its AI Center of Excellence, Cyber Defense Command Center and Tier III Data Center, represents Morocco’s capacity to position itself as “a trusted technological hub” and “a strategic partner” for Europe’s digital development.

Focusing on foreign investment, the Director General of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investment and Exports, Ali Seddiki, emphasized Morocco’s digital competitiveness driven by “one of the best infrastructures in the region”. He noted that this environment has enabled the emergence of a diversified service ecosystem that includes a leading IT sector hosting major international players.

Highlighting the importance of human capital, Mr. Seddiki underlined the strength of Morocco’s digital talent pool, calling it a key opportunity for global technology companies.

He added that Morocco’s deep digital transformation has been made possible by several national assets, describing the country as “a centuries-old nation with a young population, a stable political environment and a secure and reliable framework for investment”.

For his part, Giorgio Vanzini, Global Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Partnerships at DXC Technology, stressed the remarkable evolution of Morocco’s digital landscape. He stated that Morocco has become a real technological hub capable of creating new business opportunities and driving development across multiple sectors. He affirmed that Morocco’s openness in the digital sphere will further reinforce its position as a strategic technology platform.

Mr. Vanzini noted that the company’s strategy focuses on building a global technological ecosystem and explained that the participation of partners and stakeholders in this forum reflects a shared commitment to collaboration at the core of DXC’s international approach.

The DXC Europe Alliances Engagement Forum, hosted from November 19 to 21, 2025 at DXC.CDG, a joint venture between DXC Technology and the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion, aims to foster the co-design of shared technological roadmaps. Discussions cover priority areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing and technological co-innovation.
