In a message published on his social network Truth Social, Donald Trump confirmed that the Iranian leader was among the targets hit at the start of the military operation launched at dawn against several strategic Iranian sites. According to information reported by Israeli media outlets, Ali Khamenei was inside a highly secured residential complex in Tehran’s Pasteur district, where he had been meeting with several senior officials of the Iranian regime.

According to the same sources, around thirty bombs were reportedly dropped on the complex during the first wave of bombardments. Although the Supreme Leader was said to be in an underground section at the time of the attack, the strikes allegedly caused part of the installations to collapse. Israeli television channels reported that his body may have been found under the rubble.

This offensive, conducted jointly by American and Israeli forces, targeted hundreds of military positions and strategic facilities in Tehran and several other Iranian cities. The Israeli army stated that the objective of the operation was to neutralize Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its ballistic missile program.

The strikes also targeted other senior figures of the Iranian regime, including several military commanders and national security officials. However, the fate of some of them remains uncertain at this stage.

The announcement of Ali Khamenei’s death comes amid a major escalation in the region. In response to the bombardments, Iran launched a series of retaliatory strikes against Israel and several Middle Eastern countries hosting American forces, triggering explosions in multiple regional capitals.
