The jubilant and masterfully staged opening ceremony held at the iconic Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations resonated far beyond Morocco’s borders, reaching the Kenyan capital thousands of kilometers away.

In Nairobi, Moroccans living in Kenya, joined by several Kenyan friends and partners, gathered at the initiative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco to watch side by side the opening match and an inaugural ceremony unanimously praised for its grandeur, highlighting African football and the spirit of fraternity it embodies.

Broadcast from the Moulay Abdellah Stadium, the images made a strong impression. Kenyans in attendance applauded enthusiastically, captivated by the spectacle of lights, while Moroccans, all smiles, freely expressed their emotion at seeing their country honor the African continent.
