Moroccan tennis has just written a remarkable new chapter in its history: Morocco has officially been crowned African U12 Champion following the continental tournament held at the MTA Club in Casablanca from November 17 to 23, 2025. The competition brought together the elite of 11 African nations and concluded with an outstanding victory from Morocco’s rising talents, both in the girls and boys categories.

The girls in full control: a well-deserved continental title
Led by an exceptional trio consisting of Dina Jaoid, Nouha Touimi and Yacout El Rhaffouli, the Moroccan girls’ team delivered a perfect tournament, showcasing steely determination and remarkable technical mastery.
They dominated their opponents with confidence:
- 2–1 against South Africa
- 2–1 against Tunisia
- 3–0 against Kenya
- 3–0 against Nigeria
This flawless run secured Morocco the prestigious African U12 girls’ title, celebrated in an atmosphere filled with pride and emotion as the Casablanca audience came out in force to support the future stars of Moroccan tennis.
The boys shine with a proud third place
On the boys’ side, the trio formed by Nasser Mouaffak, Abdeljabbar Essadki and Ismail Benkirane also left a strong impression throughout the competition. After finishing first in their group with authority, they narrowly fell in the semi-finals against a strong Tunisian team, which later went on to win the championship.
The young Moroccan players bounced back with character and determination, securing a 2–0 win over South Africa to claim a well-deserved third place on the continental podium, highlighting the promising potential of this generation.
