Art and Patriotism: Morocco’s Jewish Community Pays a Majestic Tribute to the Glorious Green March
The city of Laâyoune, capital of the Moroccan Sahara, came alive with patriotism, remembrance, and national unity during a monumental show organized by the Ministry of Culture in partnership with the Moroccan Jewish Community. In a spirit of loyalty and unwavering attachment to the Kingdom and its proud history, a spectacular visual mapping illuminated one of the city’s landmarks, offering a vibrant tribute to the Green March, a founding event in Morocco’s collective identity.

The show, directed with remarkable artistic mastery by Mikael Achour and his team at Madgics Agency, transformed Laâyoune into a living canvas where archival images, waving flags, silhouettes of marchers, portraits of the late King Hassan II and His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and timeless patriotic songs intertwined. Before the amazed eyes of citizens, Moroccan Muslims and Jews united in the same fervor, history came to life in light, carried by emotion and national pride.
A Testament of Loyalty to the Nation and to His Majesty King Mohammed VI
This exceptional moment was more than a show; it was an act of love, gratitude, and unity. The Moroccan Jewish community, ever faithful to its homeland, reaffirmed its deep attachment to the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and to the spirit of enduring brotherhood that binds the components of the Nation under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
In the eyes, the songs, and the emotions of gathered families could be read fifty years of pride, courage, sacrifice, and hope. As before, the same voice resonated: “The Sahara is Moroccan and will remain so, in our hearts and on our land.”
This show was a narrative, a living memory projected in light, a renewed pledge. Each beam illuminated the message that:
- Morocco is a land of unity where all traditions meet in respect and love for the nation.
- The Green March remains an unshakable symbol of popular determination.
- The future is written through cohesion, pride, and collective progress.
A Clear Message to the World: Morocco Moves Forward Together
In a time of global division, this show sent a clear message to the world: In Morocco, unity is not a slogan. It is a lived, embodied, and celebrated reality.
Muslims, Jews, Amazighs, Arabs, Sahrawis: one people, one history, one homeland.
November 6, 2025, will remain a night when Laâyoune spoke to the hearts of all Moroccans, a night when the light declared: We are united, we are proud, we are Moroccan.
