Justice: Algerian supporter Raouf Belkassmi sentenced to three months in prison

Algerian supporter Raouf Belkassmi was sentenced on Monday, January 19, by the Rabat Court of First Instance to three months in prison, along with a fine of 500 dirhams.

Belkassmi, who had been held in custody at El Arjat 1 local prison, was prosecuted on charges of “public indecency” and “uttering statements contrary to public morals and public order against an individual or a group of individuals during sporting events.”

For the record, the Algerian supporter, who was arrested in Rabat, sparked widespread outrage after claiming that he had urinated in the stands of Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium, before posting a video on social media in which he admitted to the act.
