Executive Director of the White House Task Force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Andrew Giuliani: “The 2030 World Cup in Morocco is already shaping up to be an extraordinary event”

Andrew Giuliani, Executive Director of the White House Task Force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, believes that the 2030 edition of the tournament, which Morocco will co-host, is already emerging as a truly exceptional global sporting event, highlighting in particular the future Grand Stadium of Casablanca and its ambitious infrastructure.

Speaking on Tuesday in Washington at a conference organized by the Atlantic Council, on the eve of the launch of the 2026 World Cup, the American official said that “when we think about the next World Cup, and Morocco in particular, it already looks extraordinary.”

Giuliani emphasized the spectacular nature of the future Grand Stadium of Casablanca, whose capacity is expected to reach between 120,000 and 130,000 spectators. Such a venue would become the largest football stadium in the world, reflecting Morocco’s major ambitions for hosting the 2030 tournament.

Tasked by President Donald Trump with overseeing the organization of the 2026 World Cup in the United States, the senior American official expressed admiration for the project. “This stadium looks absolutely spectacular. I can’t wait to see what it looks like once it is completed,” he said.

Giuliani also discussed the United States’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup, particularly regarding security. He highlighted the strong cooperation with Morocco and the partnership established between the Kingdom and the White House Task Force responsible for organizing the FIFA tournament.

According to him, American authorities are working to strike “the right balance” to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for fans from around the world. The 78 matches scheduled across eleven U.S. host cities will benefit from enhanced security measures, including drone protection systems.

During the conference dedicated to U.S. priorities for hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Giuliani stressed that the success of the tournament will depend primarily on the sense of safety experienced by spectators, whether American citizens or international visitors.

He also noted that each match will be organized to standards comparable to the Super Bowl, with a strict security perimeter and multiple layers of screening designed to ensure the smooth running of this global sporting event.
